Here are a few of
my favorite things - Online image generators, Library
thing,Youtube and Yelp.com (from Web 2.0 Awards list), podcasts and also Overdrive. (I also gave Yelp.com to a patron who was looking for a site to help with restaurants in New York City.)

I'll use some of the information that was presented in 23 things, but not all.

The take-aways for me were tagging , flickr, technorati.

The exercises could be more user-friendly for the people who are not
computer savvy. (Thank you Jo
Powers for the help that you gave to me and to everyone
else.)

I would most definitely participate in another one.

I had good days and I had bad days. The good days out weigh the bad ones,
I stuck right in there to get this done. Blogs are interesting. So I
think I will keep on blogging for now. So hats off to 23 Things.

Hey,

LOVE, LOVE Overdrive - I already have an account with them. Love that I can read books rights on my compter or I can print them out. I don't like anybody reading to me, so I will not use the feature for listening to them. But what a cool service!

Thing#21 Podcasts

Loved the Yahoo Podcast, especially the music ones. Also looked for podcasts related to libraries. I couldn't look at those because they need additional plugins. Some of the topics looked really interesting.

Really liked doing thing 19. Found the website yelp.com. This will really come in handy for when I go on trips because it give you everything to restaurants, shopping, night life (really love that ) and also beauty and spas.

I can see myself using this on the reference desk if a patron asks for this type of info.

Really neat stuff on wikis. You just have to look at it with a grain of salt when reading wikis. Because everything you read on them might not be true. I really liked the Bull Run Library wiki. Cool stuff on their site.

Hey folks,

Libraries are here to stay. There is nothing like
reading a book from the the library. It's free. Technology is always
changing, and it is here to stay. We just need to keep up with technology so it won't leave us in the Dark.

Really liked Rollyo. Had lots of fun putting things on this website. Easy to do. Rollyo is very interesting, I created my own search tool. It's called Food Glorious Food. I put some websites on there that I really like to go to when I need a recipe.

This was way cool. I made a M&M movie with my m&m character. It was great. There are lots of things you can do with online image generators. REALLY REALLY WAY COOL!!

Thing #9 Merlin & library -related blogs

I've used Merlin before, it has very interesting things to look at. The library blogs are really neat to. I've posted some news feeds on my bloglines. It was really easy to do. I've also posted some of my favorite site that I like to look at on there to. Feedster was down when I tried to look at it, so I don't know how that works. Topix.net was O.K. Syndic8- complicated. Technorati- interesting.

Hey now this is something I really liked doing. Very interesting! I can now go to one site and look at all the feeds that I posted on my bloglines. Cool!!!

Thing #7 Technology

Technologhy is great for peoplw who choose to use it. But for those who don't use it we just have to help them along with it. I like to fiddle with hand-held computer games. I also like to dabble with our digital camera at home. I try to see what all the features are on it. I say just play with it you can't break it.

Flickr mashups sound so difficult, just wasn't into that. Everything is just so complicated, but I'm really learning about things I didn't know about.

This is confusing and fascinating!!!. I'm just trying to get through this day by day and week by week. So I wish myself luck through this journey!!! Looked at Flickr and saw all the fun things that you can do, like I said very confusing but fascinating!
